BrickCollect is a free collection tracker made by The Art of Bricks. This page explains what we keep and why, in plain terms. Questions? Email brickcollectapp@gmail.com.
Using BrickCollect without an account
If you don’t sign in, the sets and minifigures you tick (with their condition, copies and any marked for sale or trade), your wanted list, your currency, price location and display settings are stored only in your own browser. We don’t receive them. Clearing your browser’s data removes them, so use Export → My collection now and then as a backup.
If you sign in
- Your email address, so we can send your sign-in link and recognise you. If you use Google, we receive your email address from Google; we don’t get your Google password.
- Your collection: the sets and minifigures you’ve ticked, their condition and copies, any marked for sale or trade, your wanted list and any prices you’ve entered yourself. Only you can see it.
- Your price location (for example Australia), so the twice-daily price refresh keeps prices for that location up to date.
We use these only to run BrickCollect. We don’t sell them or share them with advertisers.
Who stores it
BrickCollect runs on Google’s Firebase: it hosts the site, handles sign-in (including sending sign-in emails) and stores accounts and collections in Sydney, Australia. A copy is backed up daily and backups are kept for 7 days.
LEGO set images come from Rebrickable and other brands’ images from their own online stores, prices from BrickLink, exchange rates from the European Central Bank via Frankfurter, and fonts from Google Fonts. These services see your device’s internet address when your browser loads their content, as with any website.
Buy links
The small buttons that take you to a brand’s store (such as LumiBricks and Pantasy) may be affiliate links: if you buy something after following one, BrickCollect may earn a small commission, at no extra cost to you. It helps keep BrickCollect free. We don’t receive your details or what you bought, only that a sale came through the link.
Cookies
BrickCollect uses your browser’s storage to keep you signed in and to remember your settings. It doesn’t use advertising or tracking cookies. If that changes, for example if we add advertising, we’ll update this page and ask for your consent first.
Deleting your account
To delete your account and collection, email brickcollectapp@gmail.com from the address you signed in with (or message us on Instagram), and we’ll remove it. It disappears from the daily backups within 7 days.
